Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information this website collects and how it is used.
Who this covers
This policy applies to michellesimscoaching.com, operated by Michelle Sims Coaching (“we,” “us”). It describes the information collected through this website and how that information is handled.
Information you share with us
- Contact form. When you send a note through the contact page, we collect your name, email address, and the message you write. We use it only to reply to you. Sending a note does not add you to any marketing email list.
- Email subscriptions. If you choose to join The Peaceful Letter or take The Peaceful Check-In, you provide your email address on a separate signup page hosted by our email platform. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- Program and coaching. If you enroll in a program or book a coaching conversation, information you provide is used to deliver that service and to communicate with you about it.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider may record standard technical information such as your browser type, device type, approximate region, and the pages you visit. This information is used to keep the site working and secure.
This website may use privacy-conscious measurement tools — Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel — to understand which pages are helpful and which links visitors follow. These tools use cookies or similar technologies and record page views and button clicks. They are never sent the contents of the contact form, your name, your email address, or your message. Measurement is only active when the corresponding measurement IDs are configured, and you can block these tools with your browser settings or an ad blocker at any time without affecting how the site works.
How your information is used
We use the information you provide to respond to your message, deliver the resources or services you requested, send emails you have asked to receive, and operate and improve this website. We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers
We rely on trusted third-party providers to run this website, host the program and membership platforms, send email, schedule calls, and process payments. These providers handle your information only as needed to deliver their service, under their own privacy policies.
How long information is kept
We keep contact messages and program records for as long as needed to respond to you, deliver the service, and meet ordinary business and recordkeeping needs. You may ask us to delete information you have shared, and we will do so where we are able.
Your choices
You may unsubscribe from emails at any time, ask what information we hold about you, ask for corrections, or ask us to delete your information. To make a request, email hello@michellesimscoaching.com.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. We honor those rights where they apply.
Children
This website and these services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
A note on the nature of this work
Michelle Sims Coaching provides educational coaching resources. Coaching is not psychotherapy, diagnosis, treatment, or crisis care, and it is not a substitute for individualized mental health care. Messages sent through this website are not confidential clinical records and should not be used for urgent or emergency needs.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website and services change. The updated version will always be posted on this page.
For Michelle's review
The following items are business-specific and should be confirmed or completed by Michelle (and, where relevant, reviewed by an attorney) rather than assumed:
- Legal business name and mailing address to list as the data controller.
- The exact list of service providers used (email platform, program platform, scheduling, payment processor) if they should be named individually.
- Specific data retention periods, and whether any state-specific privacy notices (for example California or Colorado) should be added.
- Whether analytics or advertising tools will be used, and whether a cookie/consent banner is required for the intended audience.
- An effective date for this policy.
